Flight of Decisions - Pyrographed Owl Panel

My name is Gonzalo Delacruz, I am a woodturner of four years and a tattoo artist of twenty-seven plus years. I am intrigued by wooden forms of woodworking designs, and spending time alone helps me express my artistic side. My favorite wood species to work with are oak and walnut.

Originally from Los Angeles, I traveled for many years as an artist, and attended college art courses, and tattoo conventions. I found wood turning while recovering from a physical illness. Less than a year later, I joined a woodturning club where I met my mentor, Jim. My biggest inspiration came from Mike Jackofsky, a world-renowned wood-turner who became another mentor to me. I now teach small demonstrations and conduct workshops.

As of late, I have been trying to establish my name in the woodturning world. My work has received worldwide recognition online. My artistic knowledge has translated over to pyrography, giving me freedom to express myself. My art evolves through everything I make.
